Greetings from InterHigh!
I just wanted to write to inform you about some exciting things that have been happening at InterHigh.
As you know, for the past year we have been providing worldview and apologetics training to youth in the Bay Area. Through our InterHigh Monthlies and Rise events, we have had over 800 students come get trained and mentorship from our college student mentors. We’re very thankful that we could help provide this kind of training and resources.
In June 2010, we started a new program…

I am really grateful I got to go to Crown Bay Convalescent Home. On Valentine’s Day when most people spend their money on chocolate and flowers, and their evenings eating a romantic dinner, we were going to give the elderly real love- God’s love. Before entering the convalescent home, P. Will reminded all of us of why we were there. He read out to us 1 John 4:10-12, which says that since God loved us we should love others, and that love is made complete through actions. So we were there to share God’s love with people who do not often experience much love. It was extremely apt that on Valentine’s Day we show a people who do not receive much love – what true love is.

Come join us for InterHigh Monthly X!
We’ll be talking about the most controversial book of all time (and also the best-selling book of all time!), the Bible.
Why should I trust the bible of all things?
Where did it come from?
How do I know its not just a bunch of fairy tales?
Aren’t there a lot of contradictions in the Bible?
Who wrote it, humans or God and if God wrote it, how did He do it?
And many more questions! Come and find some answers!

Allright. Hope you had a good summer, and I hope that you’re liking school. On Sept.18, at the next InterHigh, we’re going to watch, “To Save A Life.” As you know, this movie has been out for a while, and it presents a lot of issues that Christians need to talk about. I was skeptical about the movie at first, but was hooked after the first 10 minutes and enjoyed the entire film. The movie preaches, not so much to unbelievers, I think, but to believers. I don’t think anyone who calls himself a follower of Christ can walk away without some reflection about how he is living his life as a Christian witness.

Time: 6:30pm – 10:30pm

And as always, we’ve planned a nice dinner and praise & worship to get us …

We kicked off our SummerHigh 2010 Retreat by gathering at Gracepoint to register. We had lunch and a time of icebreakers to get to know about 80 InterHigh students who came to the retreat.. After lunch, we packed into our twelve-van caravan for Sierra Lodge. The first couple of days were jam-packed with games for a fun time of bonding with the students and staff. We divided into four teams—“team Xtreme,” “insideOut,” “solid,” and “we’re on fire” to play some rousing sports ultimate frisbee, soccer, and …

Now What? This is WHAT!
As soon as people started arriving, we got into groups by grade and readied ourselves for the challenges ahead. We were competing to see which team would do the best in a series of games ranging from human foosball to Team Simon Says. My group was the twelfth graders and our team name was the Beastly Butterfly Boys and Birls (Girls). After each team gave its team cheer, we all rushed off to play. My team joined three others at the four-way tug-o-war, but we were soundly (and embarrassingly) defeated by the sixth graders….

600+ at RISE: Evidence for the Resurrection
Over 600 people attended an amazing evening at Rise this past Saturday! There was much anticipation in the air, as we awaited to hear from one of the most well-known Christian philosopher, author, theologian, professor, debater, and apologist of our time! Friends came from as far as Fresno and Vacaville to hear Dr. William Lane Craig give his arguments for the plausibility of Jesus’ resurrection, and how this life-changing event of Christ conquering death was really the hinge of history.

In this past “RISE: Evidence for the Resurrection”, we had a chance to hear William Lane Craig share with us a long list of evidence supporting the fact that Jesus did indeed RISE from the dead! Amazing!
But wait… I understand that Jesus rose from the dead but NOW WHAT?
Join us this coming InterHigh Monthly VII as we discuss what the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and what it all means for us personally.
