InterHigh Fall Devotions: 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon
A new DT format for a new school year; we’re kicking off InterHigh Fall Devotions with 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon! After a whole summer of memorizing verses, we have a lot of God’s word in our heart. But what does it all mean? Sometimes just knowing the verses isn’t enough, we have to know what they mean for them to be, well, meaningful. So to help us understand what each of our new memory verses means we’re going to be doing some inductive-style DT reflection questions. Now inductive is a pretty big word, so let’s spell it out:
.
1) Observation – to answer the first few questions, just look to the text for the answer.
2) Discussion – dig a little deeper; what are these facts from the verse telling us?
3) Application – make it personal; how can the meaning of the texts apply to me personally?
Now that still might sound complicated to some of you. Thankfully, all of the questions are already written for us! So don’t be surprised when the first few questions have there answers in the verse (observation) and the next few make you think a bit more (discussion) or think about your own life (application).
You can find our devotions booklet to print out here. Just print it out (double sided) and fold the pages over in the center and you can make your very own devotions booklet!
If you need a version that just has the pages in order, you can find it here.
