As a result, we missed out on having Christian mentors who could bridge that language gap to teach us God’s word. In 2009, a group of UC Berkeley alumni with a heart for the next generation set out to try to meet that need. Small teams fanned out to serve churches across the Bay Area (those without a youth pastor) to put on a youth program each Sunday.
